Lowes HIW

SITE DESCRIPTION

The Lowes HIW Site is located in the City of Wenatchee, Chelan County, Washington. Soil sampling conducted in 1997 indicated the presence of lead, arsenic, DDT, DDE, DDD, and Dieldrin at concentrations exceeding MTCA Method A cleanup levels. Protective capping was selected as the remedial action for the Site. Following remedial activities, a restrictive covenant was recorded for the property and the Site received a No Further Action determination. The asphalt and clean soil cap remain on the Site. Based upon the site visit conducted on May 2, 2008, no repair, maintenance, or contingency actions have been required.
