The purpose of this task is to synthesize all phases and projects of the Puget Sound Toxics Loading studies into a single report. All of the information collected during each phase of the multi-year effort will be brought together in a cohesive report to form the basis of a toxics reduction strategy. A key element of this synthesis will be the identification and quantification of sources contributing to the loadings identified in each pathway. This synthesis report is necessary to effectively interpret and communicate the results of the projects to the Puget Sound Partnership.
Expected Outcome: Framework for a toxics reduction strategy to be organized under the leadership of the Puget Sound Partnership. The synthesis report will connect sources with pathways, loadings, and impacts so that actions can be prioritized within a regional source reduction and control strategy to more effectively reduce toxic loadings to Puget Sound as described in the Puget Sound partnership’s Action Agenda.
The Department of Ecology's Environmental Assessment Program will oversee this sub-task.
